DM500 no sly one

can anybody help I cant get sly one I get sly 2 and sly 3 I have scanned 3 times and tried a manual scan but still cant get. my box is dm 500-c

You might be able to manually scan , but you would have to post what area your in , and hope someone has the service file for that area ..

have you tried a bruteforce scan?


have you any other channels missing apart from sky one?

ask your neighbour to check what other channels are on his sky 1 transponder see if yours is missing the same ones

have you split your cable at all?


check all connnections i once couldnt get sky sports due to a duff end with the f-connector replaced and was fine

Just take a service file from their box or edit your own XML to include the missing info.

when i scanned 131 i somehow lost (detuned) bbc 1 and 2, and didnt pick up sky1

Hiya all,

I think I know why some of us arn't getting this channel
I got a 500c which is 2 years old and won't pick up sly1
I just flashed a mates 500c which is 3 months old and has a screw tuner.
Mt mate picks it up but mine won't
I even tryed the service number via tuxbox, the 1:0:1: ....... number and no luck.
Looks like the older boxs can't pick up transponder 19

i got my areas services file and now all missing channels are there including sly1

so the missing channels couldnt be detected while manual / automatic scanning but using the services file they all work 100% with over 90% signal strength - weird huh

i had sly1 the other day,
but i just did a bruteforce scan and its not picking sly1 up!
any ideas peeps?

i got it working now,
i originally did a bruteforce search and then i did a local search and sly1 and all is back,
so ignore my above post!

btw how do i get rid of the '!' sign at the start of a channel???

You need a good signal to pick up sky1.. using splitter I can't find it with DM500c or DBOX2, Without splitter it picks it up on both while scanning. I think it's a signal issue.

that happened to me a few months back.
When you do the bruteforce scan slyone comes back (but not in your bouquet) it comes back with a ! at the end (haven't a clue why). But you have to delete the one you can't see from your favourites and then add the slyone! from "all services" to your specific bouquet

I have not heard of this services file could you explain it to me and what to do. would appreciate any help you can give me
