I have a Dm 500, and when I press yellow it does not go to tuxbox commander. Any ideas?

followed the above guide to no avil if i press the yellow button i have no link to the tuxbox but it comes up if i press the blue button
then i can follow the guide to the part when i press 4 to edit the keys and it wont work
please guide me

I had the same problem as you. Figured it out and mine is all working now.

You are meant to press 4 when you have highlighted keylist.text on the list, it wont let you delete(i.e. press 4) if you are in view mode.

My keylist was blank so when entering the new keys do i put
00 = 123456789ABCDEFG or is it just 123456789ABCDEFG

i am having the same issues tried the 00 / 02 and still box doesnt seem to be working. It worked fine with yesterdays keys but with todays keys it seems to be having problems - any suggestions?

MARVELOUS, following the first post (thank you kindly) i now have everything back as normal,
tip for noobs like myself, turn OFF and walk away for five mins, take a few deep breaths turn your dreambox back on and follow instructions, dont think about what your doing, just do it and Robert is your mothers brother..., or Bobs your uncle

some images don't have tuxbox comander installed on then,
so you'll need to install it manually.
if you FTP >>this file<< into your temp folder then go to the manually install and run the rar it will give you the tuxbox app when you press the yellow button....

ok got it working - set it to a: { 00 } and then manually changed the key - all working now - thanks guys

which part are you stuck on - it may be easier for you to just FTP the files on your PC make the changes then upload it back to the box

Firstly, thanks to those that are still helping even though they have it working. I am new to the dreambox world but have successfully updated the keys on a dbox so i am hoping its similar.

I don't seem to have tux com on mine just file browser. I have a keylist.txt from my dbox and I have uploaded that to the var/keys folder as I did not have one. Still not working though. I know the AU needs to be changed to 02 but I dont know where it is or how to alter the cams on here. Advice would be appreciated ( i am really missing my dbox at the moment ):/

i think you must have pressed 'ok' on KEYLIST.TXT
you need to just highlight KEYLIST.TXTthen press key 4 (EDIT) on the remote and that should give you the keys you need to edit...
