DM500 Tutorial on how to enter keys.

Providing you have the dk image you press the blue button then select tubox commander.

Then scroll down and select var then keys then keylist.txt.

This is where the keys go.

You will notice depending on your provider 2 lines that start with 5a or 54

5a is telewest and 54 ntl.

Now the codes you get with keymater have to be manually input through tux.

so select edit the only put the numbers in the appropriate place.

For example. 5401 00 then code
5401 01 then code

Save and exit pull the plug on your dreambox the it should be fine.

I couldnt put this more simple.

PS. If your using the DW image its the yellow button to enter tux commander.

Please read through and try.

Any other boxes with tux has the same principle.

help my keys dissapeared!!

i followed your guide..cool..rebooted.. all ok then checked the keys again and they had all dissapeared!!! what has happened and how can i input the keys again cos i press 4 and nothing happens????? please help!! im crushed after thinking id sussed it out :[ btw i tried to turn off autoupdate but theres nothing in this field either???

Go down the ftp route.

exact same process except it through a ftp program.

I use dcc which can be found here.

Pure keys is standard NTL/VM

There are loads of different areas, if you post what area it may be possible to say for sure which one syou need

depends what area...if you are in an ex ntl area tw keys wont work....use pure keys for ntl

ive managed to get the box connected to my lappy through the router and ftp but there are so many options im totally lost on how to get access to the key.txt any help would save the dog fm a good kickin heh p.s. it says bootmanager not found??? is that important?
