is that with fast scan on if so this usually indicatates the location settings are wrong....should be around 30....

metman, i took the fast scan off, cos i have never been successfull using that, the dbox just hangs there when i try to use it.

On the new image, i kept the bouquets as existing, and all the channels seem to be as before ( the ones we watch anyhow ).

oops forgot to mention that when using sportster, there was 385 transponders i think.

if u get no transponders or prob with fast scan again this indicates the scanning settings are wrong....i know ur barnsley but r u close to another region (net id) and are you ex c&w or TW?

i've just dug out an old img with bruteforce scanning...this means only ur sym rate is required.....just tested it on mine and with fast scan on it found all 38 transponders and all channels....pm me later when ur home and i'll send u a copy just to use to scan and get a service file, hopefully getting sly 1....u can then transfer this into a new img

Services Liverpool

Apologies for jumping in on your thread 'moderngirl' but I have a related question which maybe someone can answer.
I've downloaded the services file for Liverpool which is a zip file. When I try to open it with winzip I get 'invalid archive' but I was expecting it to open and contain an XML file. Is it me or is the file corrupt?

it sounds to me that its corrupt, there should be an xml within it.

Thanks MG I found another version at mercs.us and that opens OK with two XML files. It looks like the one in the downloads here is corrupt.

I'm very new to all this and have got a Nokia Dbox2 , not sure which image but must be old. I'm too cannot get sky1 ? Could someone explain what the rom's are for and what the differences are between 7, 10 and 11 ? do I need to have all of them ? or please advise me where I could go to get this information from, thks

Do you get other sly channels ok or do you just get FTA bbc1,itv,etc clearing
