I want to put dbox 2 in d bug mode - Help

Hie guys. I have a box for a friend which still have original software. I want to put this box in de bug mode first then set it up for UK cable.

Have been through the guides and i am now failing to get all the software downloads needed to start the de bug process.

If anyone can give me links to all the software like boot loader etc. Thanks

Have a read off this there is some links for what you need.

1-no software needed to put it in debug mode, just some patience.
2-once in debug mode flash the digital kaos image.software and image in downloads
3 -add roms and do a scan.Should be a dummies guide on adding the roms and plenty of threads to read that will help you out.
what box do you have and how many chips does it have?

Its a Nokia dbox 2 with 2 Chips. Can you explain further on how i can put the box in debug mode without any software? As the guides are all talking about downloading 2-3 files to help put the box in debug mode. Thanks

The box is giving me these numbers 017A10081320008 . Its completely different to the 01DD**** which is in the guides. Anyone who can tell me whats those numbers are? thanks

It means you have version 1.0/ 32 of internal ram/00 external ram/08 flash ram.

So GIZMO which method should i use to put the box into debug mode? I dont want to screw up by using wrong method to a wrong box. Thanks

01DD10081 161608
Explanation:
01 : mID (here Nokia)
Dd : feID (front-end)
10 : Bmon version (here v1.0; if 12 then you have v1.2)
081 : FPrev. Software revision of the front processor (with Bmon 1,0 as SWRev
designates)
16 : Internal RAM (here 16MB)
16 : External RAM (here 16MB)
08 : Flash Memory (here 8MB)

Thanks for the link for ppcboot. However it seems broken as my winrar is failing to open it. I have failed as well to open and save commando 2 image. Both files are saying ''bad link or broken'' is anyone able to open commando and this ppcboot files?

It opened ok for me try a different version of winrar

its a zip file and sometimes there are probs if u use IE, usually works if u use firefox - try this
