    problem with flashFXP

when im in the advanced tab in properties it gives me these options on the left hand side.None of thes have the correct halfduplex10T or whatever it is.Any ideas which one i should be using.I'm using windows xp.

in the properties side i have these options.
ExternalPHY [which ive been using,as it seems the only 1 with duplex size options.]
    Full Duplex
    IEEE 801.1p Tagging
    MPMode
    MTU
    Network Address
    TCP/IP Offload
    TP Mode
    Tso enable

    Hope somebody can help!

you dont need to change the speed settings in flash fxp. If you are using IFA go to device manager and select your network card and chose configure. On the advanced tab select speed and in the value drop down box choose 10 half duplex.

if i pick externalPHY there is like 10MbsHalf duplex option or 100Mbs half duplex.10Mbs full duplex or 100Mbs full duplex.I have selected 10Mbs half duplex, but it wont connect to my dbox, cannot connect timed out all the time.

find out the ip adress of your box first, goto your network setting on your computer
          find you modem
          rite click it
          properties
          tab down to internet protocol
high lite it then into properties
then tick : use the folowing ip address and fill in with whatever your box ip is but 1 less so if your box ip is 192.168.1.101 then use 192.168.1.100

ok it it will then say that part of it is missing just ok it, and it will fill in, then ok again ,wait till it has finished and then check to see if your ip addy has changed to that 192.168.1.100
them go to flash fxp pit in the proper ip of your box ,then root and dreambox ,connect and you should be in half duplex doesnt allways work for me or as you say sometimes its not on there try it without it first.if your not connected to a modem have a crossover cable

ive already done that. When my box is connected by crossover only.It keeps saying connection failed[timed out] so the only place i can see where im different from the guide is in the advanced tab, which i have posted all the setting available to me above.

I have been fighting with my own nokia dbox2 for the past 4 days. It seems i have now won the war. Today i manage to flash my service files using the FlashFXP. I went to the ''flow control' under advanced settings and put the 10mbit/half duplex there. You need your real IP address for this programme to work. Once you fill in all the info, password, user ID, etc, the box will connect.

Unfortunately i have put wrong service files and i still can only getting free channels. Waiting for someone to give me correct service files for either birmingham or coventry

It's not the service files you need to update to get all channels.
You need to update your k#ys file.

If you are connecting direct via a crossover have you given your pc a static ip address? Or have you left obtain an ip address automatically checked? You will also will need to give your dbox an ip address in the same range for them to communicate.

                              THE TRUTH
                              The Hillsborough Independent Panel. 12/09/12

Today's report is black and white. The Liverpool fans were not the cause of the disaster.
The panel has quite simply found 'no evidence' in support of allegations of 'exceptional levels of drunkenness, ticketlessness or violence among Liverpool fans' and 'no evidence that fans had conspired to arrive late at the stadium' and 'no evidence that they stole from the dead and dying'.
