Ok folks I may need alittle help please

I installed commaner 11 to my dbox2..
set the scan details to my local.. scanned and all channels there..fantastic
I downloaded evocomand217c and ... well what do I do with it now ?
Im a bit confused I have read for about an hour all I could on the forum and chased links etc.. I found a camsoft.key put that in keys file.. read up on epg.. understand the concept but clueless to know how to make it work

Does commander come with emu ?

All I get is when I go on certain channels is that there is no epg availble or others .. have a yellow key but dont say "no epg availble but a black screen ?

Im not an noob with ftp or windows and I know some linux but Im stuck.. can anyone just give me a quick and easy run down..

in the dowload of evocamd there are at lease 3 files called evocamb ening in .ppc .stapi .mips .. which one do I use ?

1) OK have you flashed the Commando 11 in your Dbox? if you did that is great.

2) Do you get FTA channels?

Yes I get all the FTA channels

but none of the other

Can you please connect your Dbox to your PC/Laptop, then check the folder (emu) in this Way:

Var/bin/emu ok check inside the folder emu and see if evocamd is there.

camd_cfg
evocamd.mips
evocamd.ppc
evocamd.stabi
ignore.list
priority.list
replace.list

I have set permissions on folder to 775

still no joy

Have you transferred the k#ys folder to var/keys.
Also check to see if the emu permission has stayed at 755 as some times it changes back.

D/load this file then unrar then transfer to var/k#ys then reboot box then put on sly sports 1 until clear 5 mins max.

Please set permission to 755 not 775

D/load this file then unrar then transfer to var/k#ys then reboot box then put on sly sports 1 until clear 5 mins max.

I now get a critcal error on the ftp client when I try to add anything to the keys folder cant even delete or rename anything ... !! looks like Ill have to re-flash the whole image

550 errors on everything now bloody hell !

Don't panic flash your Dbox with Commando 11 add the above files in the emu => (var/bin/emu) and set the permission for each one to 755.
FTP the keys to (scce folder) and automatically will be in
(keys folder) connect your dbox to your TV.

1) On your Remote Control use the Blue Button.
2) Click on Commando System Menu
3) Click on Set My Location For Fast Scanning
4) Choose your location from the List
5) Click on dbox Button on your remote Control
6) Choose Service (5)
7) Click on Service Scan
8) Click on Start Scan
9) Go to Sly Sport 1

Now Enjoy your New Channels.

Please remember to set-up your IP First before you can follow the above steps as is very important and is a MUST because if you don't FTP the Keys and set-up the permission in (emu) all the above work is a waste of time. this is for every one in DK using Commando 11.

Hi plasterer , Im sorry for being a noob I can't flash the drive now and it looks like the image is locked I've searched for Usr Ifa its says to common can you give me more ifo or a link to a thread so i can unlock it please
