    Dbox2 does not boot

    Hi guys,

My dbox2 does not seem to boot up at all. As soon as you put the power lead in, the LCD lights up green however it doesnt boot up whatsoever. No writing within the LCD at all.

All i did was take the power lead out and back in within seconds - i know i shouldve waited atleast 10 seconds for the box to discharge but i didnt.

I'm thinking: 1) i've corrupted the boot image/flash memory or 2) short circuited something?

I've tried reflashing it however no luck as DboxB00tManager doesnt even detect the box.

I would really appreciate some help if any of you have experienced the same problem..

    go through this thread m8

Flashing a Dbox2 using A Null Modem Cable and Hyper Terminal

all you need is windows XP and a null modem cable.

It should bring your box back to life.

      Hi Mate..

I've done what you've mentioned in your post several times but nothing comes up in the terminal whatsoever. The LCD is still blank and no output from the box at all.

The little boxes you mentioned in your post doesnt even come up either..

      Is it completely buggered?

Have you tried using 'Image Flashing Assistant'??
        Available from the download section!

unplug the null modem then reboot you dbox
and check if you get some error msg.
