You will have to use IFA to flash it again.

Set your pc networkcard to 10baseT_halfduplex and give it a static ip of 192.168.1.201
        subnet 255.255.255.0
disable all firewalls and antivirus also try the portable version of IFA.

No you can flash it using just a crossover only but using a null modem cable aswell lets you see whats going on when you try to flash it.

Press dbox settings, network change the ip then home and save settings then reboot the box if the ip reverts back to what it was before you changed it the image has gone read only and you will need to flash it again
you can use the ftp method to flash it now that the box boots up
if after it has rebooted it has kept the ip you have put in try a scan again press blue button first and do the setmylocation feature then you can do a fast scan.

hey i set an ip of 192.168.1.100 rebooted and it stayed the same

now I have gone to service > service scan, if i press blue button it starts to scan, I cannot see any set my location feature?

do i have to put on the "magic files"?
