dbox doesnt start

hi (loading kernel) on screen but it doesnt start and i cant connect to pc any help ?

can you please stop making numerous posts on the same problem....people will answer your question when we come online.

if you have restarted box....try unplugging it from the mains and as you plug it in keep your finger pressed on the up button till you see lots of writing on the lcd.....if it still doesnt load then you will have no option to connect to pc and relash a image.....assuming its in debug mode

yas m8 i did still nothing it was working fine but i had m8 s around and i went out 4 20min come back my m8s tald me its not working im assuming they have done somthing but thay want tell me any way .... wen i plug it in lots of writing comes up and after few second it say (( LOADING KERNEL )) and nothing happening ,,,, i did try 2 connect it dosnt connect eva i do have flashfxp and crossover cable.... i did connect few days ago i did put channels on order with (( neutrino channel editor )) and its nokia dbox2 iam assuming there is no image in it , i did order a null modem cable last nite im wating for it now so i can try it ,,, is there any other way ????? thank you

I'm not sure about other ways of flashing an image to your box.

danna you have to use image flash assistant (ifa) to flash a new img..u will not ftp to box now, ifa assigns a new ip address to flash..u've lost your old image, unless u saved a copy after u sorted bouquets etc....are u using xp or vista on ur pc?

there is no such thing as a best image only personal prefence...some work better on some boxes whilst could be dodgy on another....but as stated you will need to use IFA to reflash it

forget about up/down buttons, use ifa to flash any 2x img to ur nokia just to get the box back working.....use these attached below, never failed for me....once working then connect using ftp eg flashfxp to connect to box to add files or flash new img.....

don't need a null modem u need a network cable (ethernet)

crossover if direct connection dbox to pc

straight if dbox to router to pc
