      clone

your box may be a clone. BEFORE YOU DO THIS FLASH WITH F/WARE FROM APRIL 08 .TO GET THE F/WARE D/LOAD BIGMAQ TOOLBAR AND CLICK ON FILES AND FIXES, YOU WANT THE BLUE BOX FLASH FROM 21/04/08.heres what u do take out the scart lead form ur eurovox and tv

connect a coxial cable from the back of ur eurovox to ur tv (a coxial cable is the one u use to connect ur vcr to ur tv )
ok now u have ur eurovox connected to the tv by coxial cable only have ur eurovox on and not in standby but on

now using ur tv remote scan the channels on ur tv do an automatic scan of channels on ur tv u should get to a screen asking for a code the code using ur eurovox remote now is either 0000 or master code 1004
now u will press menu>goto config>cleardata>clear channels>factory default ?choose correct symbol rate then power scan.once your box is back on flash it with the blue box clonesafe f/ware.

Hi Camelv, I have a couple of eurovox max 2006 boxes, which I got for next to nothing of someone as they don't work? i have found these to be clone boxes - i opened one and it had red paint on the screws.

I've tried flashing with a clone image - it is a successful download - but I get 0000 on the display, the remote doesn't work, cannot even power on and off from the remote. However on the tv I do get an image through scart and video out (yellow phono) this says 'channel not currently available'. As I said the remote doesn't seem to do anything - change channel or menu etc.

do you still think I need to do the instructions as per RF cable - I'll probably give it a go tonight anyway...

follow the guide above and you should be able to access the menu and get your box working again .

            Afternoon mate,

The April fix dated 21-04 isn't clone safe, if people with a clone flash there boxes with that firmware it could brick em.

if it's bricked is there any way of fixing it??? i think someone may have put the old image you're talking about on it...

i have just connected box via coax and get the same screen - channel not currently available

                  Happy new year all!!

Well, my jtag kit arrived today and after a bit of messing around I got it to connect. For anyone stuck getting these errors in jkeys or skymax:

                  init jtag idcode : ffffffff
                  unknown device
                  error no response from jinterface

Check you parallel settings in bios are set to epp and 378 - I was checking the physical connections over and over and this was the problem!

Make sure the red side of the ribbon is closest to the power supply.

Hopefully that info will help someone?!

It didn't help me though! after running skymax s/w and erasing all then writing eurovox blue, I then put clonesafe image dated 16042008 from bigmaq onto the box - guess what same error - channel no currently available - cannot do anything from the remote????

I only tried this on one box (but I have 3), they have omega chips, not intel if that makes a difference - I don't know if I used the wright s/w or image during jtag process??

                  please help someone.....

hi hiteck m8, used this method on several blue clones before clonesafe flash was released just to get box back up, so i could access channels by entering keys and it worked i think its just pot luck with clones.

Sorry for hijacking the thread.... Just wondering if you can use a parallel -> serial connector while jtaging and still connect the box to your PC? Haven't got a parallel cable handy ya see.

                            Thanks
