Eurovox 5100 no channels

Hi All,

I received my Eurovox 5100 receiver from lincsat today which came with the latest firmware already installed. I plugged it in and made sure all the wires were in the correct places. I initially ran a fast scan using the correct symbol rate for my area (Surrey). Now I did notice that the red bar at the bottom of the screen that said signal quality is 8% it dosen't flutate just says 8% all the time??? I read a couple of posts regarding problems with the euromax V that had a problem with the signal stuck at 8% could the same thing be happening with my 5100?

I tried a power scan as well using the sticky and still have not managed to get any channels...

My virgin box received broadcasts perfectly before so I cannot understand what is happening with this receiver?

Any advise would be greatly appreciated!

p.s. I havent got the null modem cable yet as only ordered it off ebay yesterday (

yeah youll need the fixed firmaware mate, its in our download section,

do a factory reset and then power scan after you have flashed the box m8.

When I received the box it stated that it came flashed with the latest firmware... Does the new firmware in the downloads section sort out the 8% signal problem?

I think the 8% signal fix is for the max V only, So yeah it should be ok mate.

Power-scan using symbol rate 6887 for surrey make sure your cable feed is plugged into the RF in and not the ANT socket at the back of the box.

What does it say in system info?

Hiteck It's been said before but you are a credit to this forum!!! I have spent most of the day trying to set my box up and low and behold within minutes you have the answers!!! I setup a powerscan withsybol rate 6887 and low and behold I have everything!!! the picture quality is superb!!!

Now just need to setup my favorites... so many channels to setup! not that I'm complaining mind!!!

Thanks again for the advice guys! hopefully I'll be able to return the favour at some point in the future...

Your welcome, glad your sorted, as for the fav sort when you press FAV button on remote then pull left/right doesn't it sort them into category order? i.e Music, entertainment, popular, also could you tell me what it says in your system info so I can use the info for future ref's on here. Cheers.

i am having the same problems, however i have tried everything said, even the 6887 code but i am not recieveing any channels. my signal is also stuck at 8%. i have recently added the latest firmware but this has had no results. any ideas?
