    Problems since updating software

    Hi all,

I recently flashed my blue eurovox at my parents house.
I plugged it in and it worked fine.
I have now returned home and it is failing to turn on.
The clock and red stanby button are displayed, and when I turn the box on the channel number (29) comes on, but nothing else.

    Any ideas?

Just checked a handy info source on here and it appears I have a cloned box.
I am now desperately searching for clone friendly software and hoping I don't have to jtag the box.

what kind of box is the clone based on mate?
Sometimes a slow gradual approach does more good than a large gesture.

          Preumably the 2006 model.
I have read somewhere that reflashing with older software may work.
It is actually displaying a channel number and not just the 2 dots, therefore I am hoping jtag isn't necessary.

Explain what you mean no joy, is it turning on, are you getting any error messages???? anything on the screen, try and explain mate in detail so its easier to help.

The box is on stanby with the time on.
If I turn the box on it comes up with the channel number and the tv flicks onto the av screen but cannot detect the box.
I cannot change the channel by the box or remote and the only function I still have is standby.

                        1. Rather than using a scart lead Plug an RF lead into the video RF socket on the back of the Eurovox.
                        2. Tune your telly until you get the 'enter pin' screen for your Eurovox.
                        3. Enter the master pin which is 1004.
                        4. Go to Eurovox menu and clear data, then do a factory reset.
                        5. Thats it, plug your scart back in and do a power-scan as normal.

                          Unfortunately I don't have a coax cable.

I can try entering the passcode straight off and using my parents max v box to see which menu options I need.

                          Would this still work?

Also, how do I do the factory reset?

                          Thanks for the help

You could try if you like but it would be easier with a RF cable.
