i dont think updating the keys will do you any good my freind, theyd help to unlock they would help to unlock the channels after they had been found, but would not help with finding the channels

you've defo got channels coming in on virgin box?
what channels? what splitters if any are on the line either box outside or wall unit inside?
can you try and run a direct feed from cable coming in?
i think we can eliminate the eurovox as it picks up fine at your pals house

ive got no splitters on the line just were the cable comes through the wall and ive got the basic virgin package and all the channels are fine on there box, i havnt tried the box at my brothers house since i put the 8% signal fix on my box but it was working fine at his house on saturday when we checked it

Virgin have downgraded the signal in some areas for fibre upgrades. If you have the origanl box, put it back on and report a fault with your TV ie jerky pictures, pixilated picture. make sure your box is not around!!!!!

I had this problem and this solution worked!

ive just spoke to virgin and i dont know if theyve done anything told them channels were jumpy they said they were sending a signal down to my box is that what you were saying they shouls have done? what do i need to try with my eurovox now?

i think by the looks alsstuff post, he had an engineer out to boost the signal. try ur eurovox anyway, if still no go ring them up and request an engineer call.

yeah ive got an engineer coming tomorrow but will they boost the signal if theres nothing wrong with my virgin box? anyhow im trying another scan but do i need to re-flash with a different firmware or leave the 8% signal fix one as it is?

they'll boost the signal mate, if only to save another call out
try box at your mates again and if its working fine there, then leave the firmware alone

Got mine up and running. My signal was weak (bad connection in attic). I suspect your problem is the same _ poor signal. Hope you get it sorted.
Just a tip, put your finger on the cable plug and you should get a small shock, then you'll know.
