Help needed with eurovoxex7000hd harddrive problems

hi there, love the box, just got around to putting my external harddrive to the box via usb, but when i press pause, record or even pvr button my box says (usb drive is not attached) i formatted the drive on my pc first so i no the hdd works fine.
could this be a jumper setting ? there is master, slave or cable select. i had it set to what i think was cable select and my pc said there was only 50gig so i took the jumper out and it said it was 150gig as did master but i did leave jumper off, could that be the problem ? but again it works on my pc HELP many thanks in advance

in windows (all versions) it allows u to select different file systems. connect the drive, when it appears in 'my computer' , right click, select 'format' and the drop down box change to 'FAT32'

no my 3 systems are only giving the option of formatting to ntfs, there is no fat 32 ARGH is this anything to do with the fact its a 160gig hdd

if its not formatted fat32 it wont work, ive got vista 32 and vista 64 they both give you the option when you right click on the drive then format theres a selection for ntfs and fat 32 or exfat

Just download Swiss Knife from the Web (free) and use this to format the partition to FAT32 and make it active. Works every time
