Hi again its the pest ,tried all that changing symbol rate as well ,i tried updating channels and a sreen says no transponder to scan what does that mean .

There is no cable tv signal to the box.
U have got the main incoming cable in the RF in?
Is your cable line "LIVE"?

Hi again ,

I can plug in normal tv and it works fine and i can also plug in the sky receiver and still get a number of channels of the sky incoming lead so both the sky incoming and the normal aeriel lead are both working with really good pictures ,when i plug in the Eurovox to either of these leads both say no transponder.

it's a live cable feed you need not satellite or terrestrial

my friend, have you got a live Virgin Media cable tv line?
The channels you are getting are the "free view" channels BBC, ITV, channel 5...

you have to contact your cable supplier to have it installed
ie: v*rg*n media

I have normal terrestial aerial and an old sky aerial that comes into the house .where do i get my feed from to go into the back of the eurovox into the RF in

I think ive worked it out you guys are saying i have to subscribe to one of the satelite companies first before i can get the scans , can i use this box with sky tv .

SORRY my friend, you cannot do that.
I was NOT aware u did not have a cable tv line.
You cannot use the ariel or S*y line for this box.
You MUST have a Virg*n Med*a cable tv line and you can only get that by calling them to install a line at your property.

NO m8, U need to have Virg*n Med*a line.

tannedman just get them to install b/b only it's cheapest contract & your box will still work
