there is no com&lpt in the device manager thats what confusing me

Easy way out ; If you have a Desktop or old Laptop with 9-pin port.
Discard USB/9pin lead & use null modem cable only. Piece of cake.
If you don't have this option ask a friend who is conversant with P.C.'s
to install USB driver for you, on any comm-port 1 -4.
If your still in trouble try re-booting P.C.

U need to make sure the usb cable driver is installed proper, otherwise it will not work.
mabey try to unstall the usb adaptor and re install.

found out that my usb to seial wasnt installed correct so downloaded the correct driver software and all is workin good now just finished loading it on to my box cheers for all the help bad apple was doin my head in tryin to fix it

hi.......

recently downloaded the nagra 2 fix for my eurovox ex5000 pvr

when i connected the box to my tv i followed all the steps(turn on emu, restore factory settings etc.)

i then tried both a deep scan and a manual scan without any success

im living in the dublin south area and using N*L.....wondering if anyone could help me out with this problem

do u mean restore to factory then scan and then turn on emu . if u turn on emu and then reset factory settings the turn the emu off again l would think

As mod pointed out, you must carry out steps in correct order.
If you enable emulator & then fac.reset, you are turning off emu again.

Presuming you have N2 fix installed.
MENU--User installation--POWER SCAN
START 240Mhz STOP--600Mhz SYM.--6887 STEP--8 Start scan
Wait for scan to complete fully.
MENU--OK--1968---enable emulator
You should be up & running now.
If you're missing some chls;
USER INSTALLATION--EDIT--ADD manually enter 150Mhz T.P.
Follow prompts on screen, they are there to assist you.
When done use UPDATE CHLS. (red key)
Any probs. come back with details. GOOD LUCK

START 240Mhz STOP--600Mhz SYM.--6887 STEP--8 Start scan

Just a note one of the TP's has changed to freq 150Mhz (from 395Mhz), you will need to add this manually afterwards.

If you start your scan at 150Mhz there is a good chance that you will miss the rest of the channels as the tuner counts up from there in groups of 8 (158, 166 etc.) thus missing out on the rest.

Hi All, Looking for a bit of advice on the PVR 5100.
Im in Dublin NTL 6887 and ran the Nagra2 fix on my box. The eurovox displays downloading on the front and the exe executable completes to 100%. Im using a serial cable not a USB cable so no com port conflicts.

When I:
1-Run a deep scan and turn on emulation - It didnt work

2-Cleared data, ran nagra fix, deep scan, turned on emulation - got 10 channels only.

3-Cleared data, ran nagra fix, power scan, turned on emulation - same 10 channels.

Was getting very bored waiting for it so tried it one last time

4-Cleared data, ran nagra fix, deep scan, turned on emulation - got all the channels back (Hallelujah - but wait) not the movies/sports.

Tried to follow Eamo 2's post above about the manual tune but I not sure what the T.P stands for?

At the moment Im getting to see about 170 channels (some duplication) but no sly sports or sly movies. Any assistance or advice is greatly appreciated!?

Nagra 3 only came out two weeks ago, they posted before then. Also chorus customers are still on nagra 1, and some ntl mmds customers down the country.
