What you mean swap over to digital?

You can pick these up for a few quid on eBay. All the attenuator does is increase decrease the signal strength coming through the line.

This should sort your problem. Expect to pay between ?2 - ?8 on ebay.

got the attenuator set my signal down to about 75% an that seems to have sorted it does this seem right and i have the attenuator plugged directly into the back of my eurovox does is this right??

That is correct you can use it anywhere from your splitter.
