what do you mean by the signal is getting blocked
which firmware have you got on the box
when on a bad channel press the remotes info button twice and what signal strength does it show

theres lots of people in manchester having problems lately. Me included. Constantly fluctuating signals. I think we just have to wait out whatever is going on.

the level and quality of the signal is high over 75% most of the time, if finds most channels but not all and once its finished scan it comes up with "NO SIGNAL" then after a while the picture comes on then starts to break up then go off. The firmware ive used is UFL_MAX_V_5-12-08 which i obtained off this site. Ive tried everything ??

too low or too high a signal gives the symptoms you have
75% is on the low side the optimum is around 80%
when on a pixellating channel press the remotes info button twice and what is the signal strength and is the signal steady

I've got an engineer coming round next week to take a look. Will report back ay improvements then. Picture is fine on vermin box though.

Thats just a couple of seconds snapshot of the signal. To get a better idea, press info on the channel and note the frequency down. press menu ---> installation ---> user installation and scroll to where your that particular frequency is.

I bet you'll find that you're signal is wildly fluctuating, good one second and then in the red the next.

Mine was just fine for 20mins.... terrible again now... comes and goes. Hopefully the engineer will be able to 'smooth' the signal out or something. But I do beleive there is something going on in the manchester area.

EDIT: Also mark. Have you tried watching late at night. ie. 12am - 1am. I get absolutely no problems late at night.

Press info twice and see what frequency the channel is on then go to the installation menu hi lite the frequency and tweak it using the coloured button option ie 282.000 change to 282.750 save and exit and see what its like then.
