How to update you EX7000HD box

Follow these easy instructions to update your EX7000HD box

Flashing The EX7000HD using USB pen

1. Download the required firmware(latest in downloads section)
Digital Kaos - Downloads - *NEW* EX7000HD Firmware 12/03/09

2. Copy it to your usb pen or equivalent, ensure file name is FLASH.TBN

3. Switch box off, insert USB pen into the usb slot and switch power on at the rear switch.

3. box will reboot, open the flash file extract it to its memory and install it automatically.
You should see writing and countdown on lcd screen of box.

4. Once flashed, select your desired settings, scan using the correct SY(your provider) leave it on S*Y Sports 1 for a few minutes for the channels to update...then enjoy

This firmware has neen downloaded 1294 time so far, so i am guessing it must be working.

are you sure you've got right software as the 1000, 5000 use di seperate softwares on each

I have done it so proud of myself . The only problem i have found though when i am setting up my favourites it is not selecting the right ones...Has anyone found a solution yet? I will post as soon as i find out how.

Hi m8 to sort your fav's press menu ,channel , favourite setup , hilight the channel you want then press btn's 1 to 8 to assign it to that fav ,when all done press exit to save then go to favourite manager ,ok , red btn sort then the blue btn move press the fav btn to scroll your fav's hilight the channel you want to move use the up/down to move it then when your happy where it is press ok when all done press exit to save

i have bought a new box and can't seem to update it via the usb.

you don't. you just copy the file onto your usb drive

I have downloaded the firmware. It downloads as a winrar file flash_120309. I then extract it and get a file flash_120309.tbn. Do i need to change the file name to flash.tbn? I then plug it into the usb port turn on the power it says now booting usb detected. I then take out of stanby it says welcome to HD. The easy instalation menu appears i selecet english put my symbol rate in and it scans but finds no channels? please help
