eurovox ex1100 usb idiots guide any help?

hi, just purchased a eurovox ex1100 usb, unwrapped from box plugged into v media point done a power scan and various other scans still no channels found. any help here please. cant go through another 30 minute scan wait again with no success. im loosing my hair here. what percentage in scan should i start recieving channels? thanks for any thoughts u can leave for me to try.

loaded latest firmware i hope before trying scan .. the firmware is available through this site.. i bought an 1100 too and works a treat.

Hi m8, you have to update the firmware first.
Here is the firmware>Digital Kaos - Downloads - EX1100USB_SEP01.abs

And heres a quick guide.
>Downloaded the firmware, drag and drop it onto your usb pen drive. Ensure your box is powered off before plugging the pen drive into the USB socket.
Press> Menu >tools >Upgrade by USB, then highlight the firmware file and press RED to flash and OK to confirm.

no il have a go at doing that. was informed it was plug and play. do that through a usb stick?

yes ,d/load file from link above and extract the abs file to usb stick and plug into box , then upgrade through menu /usb.

YES, update the box through a USB stick/pen. Make sure its formated to FAT32, then just follow the above instructions.
Also when scanning use the correct SY for your provider.

hi im new to this sorry if this is the wrong place to post how much are these boxes are they cheap if they are not flashed or are they the same cuz i saw 1 on ebay for about 90 quid

The basic euros are about ?80/90. They are normally supplied with free to air softwa*e. Its not difficult to update the softwa*e yourself and the softwa*e is available for free in the downloads section.
There are a few places which sell the box with the softwa*e redy installed,
You should stay away from ebay(my opinion)

cheers badapple i had 1 quite a few years back my mates still uses it tho the codes change alot and it freezes and turns itself off and on during early morning so i can buy 1 which is basically plug in and watch o and thanks for the quick reply buddy
