I've had this problem and I've tried bending the Coat Hanger on my Digital Hair Curlers in VMs direction.... but all I get is static... Nothing changes-- however I am still getting 260+ channels.
You will find this will always happen if the antenna has not been
discombobulated, which to put in simple terms (because I am a simple person)
means the coaxial coefficient resistance does not match the downloaded
compacitance when the current is in fluctuation mode, If on the other hand your
Coat Hanger is of the coated kind you will get a much improved reception
provided the ohms is not higher than the htz (if that were the case you would be
making toast). You can of course fine tune the static, with a variable static
tuner, once you have tuned out the white noise (no racial slur intended), you
are left with a smooth sinewave, with a little glass paper you can produce a
rough sinewave which you demodulate to your herts (get it!) content, no will
understand you, but they never do anyway.
As I know you are deeply interested in conservation of energy and inland
waterway snorkel diving, I have taken the liberty to send you this snippet. Don't
forget if you keep a snippet for more than 30 days you need to register it.
Hope this helps.... and yes, it's not illegal to own a Eurovox!!
