Scanning for your channels this way means you don't have your channels deleted so you don't lose your settings. Also if you were doing the scans the way you were, you should have had saved your channel info onto usb stick so you can download it back on after a full scan to get your channels settings back to how you had it.

Myself I think it's a good box but I do admit there's room for improvement.
    That's good to know.

I found the HD abit naf on the Eurovox, i suppose if you have not seen sky HD you will be pleased with seven channels. Beware epg freezes often and recordings fails if you dont use a decent usb stick etc. Also when you have to scan because you lose a channel for whatever reason you need to delete all channels else you end up with multiple channels, hence loss of your favourties due to this. I would get your cashback and wait for the krptview HD, thats if N3 has not kicked in by then.

ps if you can afford two 50inch plasmas surely you can afford to pay for decent TV like the sky HD box which is far superior to any HD box on the market
I personally see alot of things that could be improved (and i've not had the box yet LOL!), but considering why we get these boxes I don't think we can really expect these to be on the same level as something like SKY HD. I very much doubt these companies spend anywhere near the amount of money on research and development as SKY would. I think if you have a realistic expectation then you won't go wrong.

Having said that though, i have seen SKY HD, so it will be very interesting to see the difference.

i may be wrong, and if i am then i apologise, but i'm sure i read that there is a format the 7000 will read, and that there is a way you can put vid clips on the usb drive to be played over the eurovox.
I would've thought that if you can find software that will convert to the correct format it could work, however this would be alot of work.

I was hoping that it would recognise the mp4 and mkv file movies....i've got around 150gb of movies, so i can see it taking alot of time to convert all these to a format the EX7000 can read.

You can as far as i can tell, download material ie movies from hard drive to PC then unto disc (not rewritable's) they won't play on ps3. thats what i've been told so i just use ordinary DVD's. you can also download divx movies unto ps3, its usually quicker than the pc. hope this is usefull.

Also, does the pay per view channel work on the eurovox?

I had a starview box and wrestling and boxing would show live on channel 3000.

On the Eurovox the channels are sorted into order and they only go upto around 268 so not sure which channel (if there is one) that is for the pay per view.

Okay, need a bit of help now....

First time i scanned the channels i did it through some splitters.

Having read up on here, most people suggest that i should scan fromthe main input of the house.

I did this today and i lost FOX HD.

I tried playing about with the installation but couldn't figure out how i'm supposed to be scanning the channels to ensure that i have all off them.

Could anyone advise on the best settings to scan with.

Also the "PPV Sub" (think that's what it's called) among a few other channels are still showing as scrambled channel.

Most of the channels are working, but there's a few that are showing as getting a good signal, but either say scrambled or say no data.

I'm getting around 230-260 channels (268 i think it was with all the adult channels which i've removed as I have kids), is this how many i should expect to get???
