Eurovox EX1100 USB - No Channels

Hi folks

What I have got:
@ Eurovox EX1100 USB (Just bought Y'day) - Already loaded with firmware as per seller
@ Cable line in with spliter on to vbox and other to modem (vm).

Problem:
When I first tried to scan the box, nothing came up.
Did all type of scans.

have you got the cable feed going into the rf in socket and did you select the right symbolrate, Bolton = 6887

Yeah, I have connceted feed from spliter to RF in socket via an adapter and when I power scanned it, it have had few symbol rates and the one you metioned was already in there.

Would you advise to do a power scan again with only symbol rate you mentioned and freqency from start to finish.

I would appreciate if you can let me have the exact parameters for the power scan or any scan which can get me some channels.

First thing connect the feed direct to the box with no splitter then put a 0 in the other symbol rate options and do a power scan on 6887 only.

Well Guys, I tried everything by now and still can't get any channels whatsoever.

Tried, deep scan, power scan, with only sybmbol rate 6887. Still no joy. Any ideas, suggestions are most welcome.

I'm takin the box to the seller today and see if its something wrong with it. The signal quality is always 28%, i have tried it with all options, like removing splitter, then there was another spliter only one 2 one which was connected to black cable line coming in and then other white cable coming out of it ???!!!

One more thing, the vbox is only for freeview purposes only, I'm not paying for it so could it be the case they that haven't resumed sending other channels feed, or i'm a dumb as dork here to think that way. Because, when i go into vbox settings, on of the parameters says, "No Purchase" ????!!!!!


Please help, I'm off to my wits with this thing !!!!

according to the area doc Bolton is 6887 but just in case you could try the other one 6952
are you scanning from frequency 100.00 to 870.00
qam 64 step 8

reading between the lines I take it you don't have any subscription with VM, does your v box and modem work ok.

I have got the broadband and phone subs from vm and they gave me vbox for free, sayin it will let me see all freeview channels and all seem to be working perfect. i.e. broadband and phone and vbox as well. Can they really filter channels from origin ????

Any ideas !!! what shall i do next?

Hi, does your box say "No Signal" or any other messages?

You mean, the vbox, if so then its running fine, watch loads of thing on iplayer so, vbox is fine.

If you mean, ex1100 then, it doesn't say anything like "No signal" only says, no channels and takes be back to menu.

Can you try the Eurovox at a freinds house to see if it works? then you will know for sure if the box is faulty..

My eurovox max just says no signal, yet it works at my parents house 3 streets away!!

you say it came preflashed you could try and reflash it again just in case original was corrupted

failing that remove the feed from your working vbox fit adaptor to it and plug into your ex1100 box and do a scan on 6887 if that doesn't work try 6952 and if you are still getting nothing at all on your box I think you probably have a faulty tuner

I will give it a go, i'm takin the box to the seller in a bit now and see if for myself, its working or not.

Would you recommand flashin it once again, if it worked at sellers place? Or shall I ask him to reflash it again with the latest patch?

if it works ok anywhere else then there is no need to reflash and your problem then would be the strength of your signal
