I'm watching mine through a Optoma hi def projector onto a 92" screen and the quality is brilliant, UFC and football on ES*nhd is amazing.

I am not using a splitter, my tv has 2 hdmi sockets one for ps3 and one for eurovox ex 7000 hd, The only channel I can get the wow factor from constantly is BBC HD I feel sure that the others are broadcasting at a lower resolution nothing broadcast comes close to the 1080p of blu ray via my ps3 if I set my ps3 to 1080 i there is no noticeable differance yet on 1080i HD TV input via ex7000 it comes no way close to Blu ray. A lot of people on forum say picture looks brilliant but have you all seen 1080p or 1080i on blu ray.

I have blu ray PS3 connected to my Hi Def projector, In my opinion, FXHD, ESPNHD and BBC HD are all as good as my blu ray films, I do use a hi quality HD lead tho

The quality of hdmi lead if you follow the links is irelevent since the output is digital it either works or not as all it needs to do is recognise a switching sequence of 01011100 etc The HDMI lead I use is overkill as it is gold plated and cost me ?20.00 plus for 2 metres. All I can say is the telly quality on blu ray downscaled from 1080p to 1080 i is brilliant but my ex 7000 through a top quality hdmi gold plated cable comes nowhere close ton 1080i blu ray. The reason I bought the ex 7000 was bacause I thought I would get 1080i HD from the seven HD channels on verrmin this is not the case.

I have worked it out. The vast majority of new lcd plasma tvs have a built in upscaler. My old eurovox max v is giving me an output via scart of 720x560i that is because of the tv having an upscaler built in, My ex 7000 hd connected via hdmi gold cable may match that but there are only a few channels tansmitting at 1080i that is why I believe I cannot tell differerance please correct me if I am wrong.

Removing the scart made no difference to the picture at all, by reducing down to 576I my picture is a lot clearer round the faces, lets say it depends on the TV set I think, but people who say to me (rubbish) in what I say is wrong is unfair to say that, your set may look better on 1080I but mine is not, I recently found that RGB colour is also better on my TV, however someone must have the same problem as me so I pointed this out to help others, keep the post coming as its good to see both sides.
