Eurovox Max V Blue Help !

Hey all Im looking for a little help if possible I just got a eurovox max v blue from my sister and it is just coming on the display panel with a red light and 4 little green dashes.

E.G / . - - - -

the dot being the red light and the dashes being the green dashes.

Anyone got any idea why this is doing this any help will be very much appreciated.

welcome to the forum
it may need flashing with the latest firmware you can get it from downloads.

I have tried doing it with the latest firmware and thats what made my box do what its doing

well it looks very mutch like its a clone and its bricked you will have to jtag it there is a tut in downloads you will need to bye a eurovox jtag all the software you will need is in downloads its not to hard if you follow the tut good luck

with a bit of luck you might have had a bad flash, try reflashing but use the clonesafe version of the firmware

It wont let me it just says searching for device when i plug it into my pc now its driving me insane

Newbie here, great forum and great info here, but I wanted to just make sure about a few things before I brought the eurovox.

Just curious as to what channels i will be recieving once its flashed.

Previously had VM box, but obviously you know what has happened with that set up.

A friend has told me to get this but wanted to know what you know about this.

save your money m8 as all boxes will be doorstops in a few months when virmin change over to nag3

no m8 only other option is c/s which can't be discussed on dk
or you could look in to sat boxes

try starting the download with the power off to the box then re-power the box
have you also tried the black button reset in the box

I have done the power thing mate and it has started for me if this dont work i wil try the reset button

Hi again smoggy i just got it updated.but still got a small problem my remote control wont work any ideas

you have probably lost the scart output

disconnect your scart
connect some coax cable from the TV / VCR socket of the eurovox to the TV
tune your telly to the VCR channel where you will get the 'enter pin' screen
using your remote enter the master pin which is 1004.
go to menu and clear data, then do a factory reset.
plug your scart back in and do a powerscan as normal
