what sometimes happens when you have flashed with wrong firmware is it knocks out the scart output and the box is stuck on the pin screen.
the remote is still working but but you can't see anything until you reset the box and the only way you can see what you are doing is to connect up as my previous post and tune in the tv until you see the reset screen via the coax cable
if you can't do this come back and I'll show you a different way

put your scart back in
switch your box on and make sure you point the control at the box
very carefully enter the following sequence

1004
menu
right,right,right (arrow keys)
down,down (arrow keys)
OK
1004
down
OK,OK,OK

wait a few minutes whilst box resets itself and hopefully you will get a distorted picture showing that your scart is working again.
you should then be able to use your remote again and rescan for channels

yes as smoggy said in post 11 there is a small black micro btn on the main board press this .
please note this is a pic of a ex5000 but its basically the same

update.

what I have gathered from pm's
apparently after he reflashed box he got his channels working but the remote is not working (he can change channels with the up/dpwn buttons on box)
he has 2 remotes which work on another box but not on this one.

I have advised him to try reflashing again but if that doesn't work it is is more than likely the remote sensor on the box.

Hi there Guys I will try re flashing and that reset button tonight but i am about to move house in a few weeks so i aint gonna let it bother me much more now as the house i moving to is in a non virgin area so i wont be able to use it anymore but thanks for all help that you guys have given me it is very much appreciated
