    HELLLPPPP!!!

    Hi folks,

Need some help from you all. I have an ex1000sl and everytime i try to do a firmware update i keep getting the message, "waiting for the response from your receiver", when i press download, although i have everything connected correctly it never goes any further. Does anyone have any ideas of how i can get around this or am i doing something wrong. Thanks in advance

Hi m8, try download to box again, have the box powered off, run download and when the message comes power on the box.

it looks like you need to install drivers for your adaptor
if you go into device manager you should be able to see your adaptor connected to one of the ports, if you can't see it then it needs a driver

it's showing in the device manager as usb-to-serial comm port and when i go into the properties it shows as working properly so looks as if it can't be that

check which port it is connected to, it needs to be either 1,2,3 or 4

in device manager right click on it and in the box that opens select port settings/then the advanced tab/in the Com Port number select a port from 1 to 4 that is not in use

Try this, safely remove the usb cable. go into device manager and set comm ports to comm 1. shut down pc. connect usb cable and power up comp but keep the box power off. run download again and power on box when message appears.
