I too am having problems getting a response from my receiver. I have a Eurovox EX5100PVR brand new. I plugged it in and scanned channels, all free to air were ok. I tried to flash the box with the UFL_EX5100PVR_DarX_16-01-09.exe. When I click download the display switches between COM2 and COM3 and says the receiver was not detected. I then try from boot mode and the program states waiting for response from receiver but nothing happens.

I have a laptop with a usb to RS 232 with drivers installed (COM port 2 selected), connected to the null modem cable, connected to the box. I have reset the factory settings on the box. I have tried the flashing process in standby mode, in power on mode, with and without the rf cable connected and get the same reply.

Is there anything I can do to get this sorted? Is there any way of checking my COM port/eurovoxconnection?

Any help is appreciated.

First make sure the drivers for the RS232 adaptor are updated/installed and then select/set COMM PORT 1 in device manager of pc, making sure its not being ued by any other device and try again.

Been maplins had in stock was ?10.99 but hey i didnt wait the adapter was more expensive at ?14.99 but i can now get started on my original task :P

Hi thanks for all the assistance so far. I got Eurovox EX1000SL and the manual is impossible to read (screenshots too dark) - does anyone know where to find an electronic version?
