the last code for ex1000sl

Can anyone please give me the last workable code for the ex1000sl, my box is working ok at the moment, but after rescanning i ended up with a long list of channels of abt 3 of each one and i'd like to get rid of them.
No sign of nag3 yet in my area and no new card as yet!

try a power scan that should reduce the number as deep scans find duplicate channels.

Once you have done all of the above, hit "Exit" & Go back to the "Main Menu Window" then using the </>
arrows, go to "Config" & In that cascading menu select
"Clear Data" then select "Reset To Factory Default"
then take a note of you Area Symbol Rate which is either "6.952 Or 6.887" then hit "Okay" to clear channel data
& Reset back to factory default, then hit "Exit" back to
"Main Menu" then go to selection box next door and
select "Deep Scan" which normally takes about half an
hour to do. Then once you have done all that, then go to
the nearest wall and do this with your head. No in all
seriousness, in actual fact you gain more channels by
carrying out a deep scan. I know there is a lot of repeats
in the list, yeah about six channel "Fives" and two or three
of BBC 1's Etc-Etc, believe me with a bit of patience and
time, you can edit the list by going through it in the
"Channels Box In Main Menu" then select "Channel Manager"
hit "Okay" & Type "0000" then select "Edit" in this cascading
menu by pressing the "Green Button" then take your time
going through the list, with any channels not worth keeping
@ present, then use the "Red Button" to delete each one!
Be careful going through the list and once you have finished
editing said list, use "Exit Button To Save Changes" and exit
out of "Main Menu Set Up" Hay Presto, Task Done!

If N3 has hit your Area, then the channels you should get back including BBC 1&2 England BBC1&2 Scotland
BBC1 N.I. BBC1 Wales, ITV 1 London VH1, Cartoons
& Comedy Channels & So On, As Mentioned Before
A Deep Scan Picks Up More Channels Than A Power
Scan.

If VM has sent you out a new card, it would be adviseable to remove your old card, and set up
your vm stb with your new card in. switch on
the said box and go to channel number 999.
Make sure your "Forward Path Attenuator"
other wise known as "The Spliter" is used.
Point being, this is to let VM know that you
are using their STB & By letting the said STB
Register that you have recieved the new
card. In other words, if there is no other
VM user in your Area, it prevents them from
switching/cutting off their tv service, in your
Area, get the picture, boom, boom.
Also, another good tip is, if you have go the
new card, go through what I have mentioned
on this note! Once you have done that, and
the said STB is registered with the new card.
Then leave the spliter in, and then set up your
EX1000SL STB then go through the guide that
I have given you, as regards to reseting your
STB to Factory Default, Deep Scan, Editing
Your Nagravision Window, & Then Editing
Your TV Channels. you should get back all
the channels that I have mentioned even
with your spliter fitted onto your EX1000SL
STB believe me, let me know how you get
on with the said advice? Later's.

hi alexdc12, if you have received the new vm viewing card from vm. Then it's best that you set up your vm
S.T.B. with the said new card in, and obviously the spliter attached to the cable and then go to channel
999 and let the vm S.T.B. register the new card with
vm. If you don't go through this procedure, and there
is no other vm cable customers in your Area, then you
run the risk of your Area been shut off. To be honest
with you, I have another opinon about this matter which
I will post in due course. If you have not received a
new viewing card from vm? Then you can still go through
the said above procedures with your spliter attached to
your cable and your Satellite 'F' Type Socket To Coax
Plug Adaptors. To be honest with you, with vm switching a load of channels over to N3, I don't think it makes
any difference, in other words, your FTA EX1000SL
STB will still pick up the same channels after a deep scan, yeah later's!
