Digivox T MMDS Ireland Fix 22/12/2008

Just forwarding some info regarding this type box, the firmware is out for Digivox T thanks to SunRise.

    Available here > digivox_ter_v3300.bin

I know little about these receivers so please don't ask me for advice, I'm just sharing the info

    Thanks.

It was also in downloads but I had to delete it as it was not an external download link. I have fixed this now along with the sticky above.

                Hi,

Have tried to flash the digivox t mmds approx 50 times now to no avail.

                I've downloaded Downloader10 and the digivox_ter_v3300.bin.

Have connected up to Vista laptop via null modem cable and usb-serial adaptor.

Have checked which COM port its using.

Have ran Downloader with the box on. 'Fail to update flash!
Have ran Downloader with the box off and switched on when the download starts 'Fail to update flash!
Have ran Downloader with the box off and switched on at the plug when the download starts 'Fail to update flash!

It's really doing my head in at this stage.

Anyone else encountered this and got it sorted?

                All help appreciated!

if you knew anybody that has a pc with xp and serial port it would be much easier, laptop and vista and usb adapters are hit and miss, hiteck has done a tutorial about flashing boxes.have you downloaded the driver for the usb adaptor.?

                    Thanks for the reply.

I got the driver on the cd that came with it.
I've already flashed a few Kryptviews with my Vista laptop with no problems. Very strange.

Is there any other software other than Downloader10 that can be used?

                      hi wayne
you have a usb to serial adaptor and do you have a standarded male to female serial cable . if you have i had the same problem and i had to cut my cable and reverse 2 of the cables for me to download to box let me know if you have and ill have a look for my cable to see which 2 cables have to be reversed.

                        Hi,

Yeah I have the usb to serial connector. The cable I have is a null modem female - female (the blue connector each end)

You had to cut a cable?

yeah although the is adaptors out for them it took me a couple of hours myself before i copped on. your serial port has 9 pins and 2 of the have to be reverse. if you have the manual off box look at the back and it will show you.

I paired my cable back to revel the 9 cables they are numbered 1-9 so i cut number 4 and 5 and joined 5 -4 and 4 -5 then i could download.I AM STILL TRYING TO FIND MY CABLE OR MANUAL TO MAKE SURE OF NUMBERS SO DONT CUT YET TILL YOUR SURE. There is adaptors for them just cant think of name.

                          Hope this helps
