TBH they can encrypt it in nagra 5,000,000 for all i care . There will ALWAYS be some smart dude out there who will crack the code and when that happens(as it will) they will be right back to stage one again.

i wouldnt hold my breath, after a few years in the usa they still have some revs of nag 2 not open and thats a bigger market than Irl & Uk

I believe that upc was incrparated in Ireland 10 April 09 and all Eurovoxes there have gone down.

I wouldn't worry about it guys, as soon as it changes (if it does) all people will need to do is start card sharing - which the dreambox can already do.

vm might decide to upgrade their nagravision encryption in the uk just like upc did in Irl, upc are a multinational company with 10 million subscribers and will have to pay kudelski who own the nagravision encryption system, i would'nt worry about the uk changin to nag3 any time soon....well not unless upc buy out vm

i know ireland is in the procces of changing but i think the rest of us ie england ,scotland,ohh and also wales are a long way off yet

upc started giving out nag2 cards in jan 2008 tho only a stop gap for their dvr's and the first nag3 cards a whole year later and it will be at least a year before we are anywhere near switched over, now the uk is a far bigger market than Irl for sure and they havent even started giving out cards !
i wouldnt worry guys until reports of new cards

Seems feaseable as sky are also changing there encryption and issueing new cards out as we speak time will tell but for the time being just enjoy while you can

Cardsharing works on satellite as there are many hundreds of thousand across Europe all sharing different subscriptions....But with cable on a closed network very few are willing to share and someone of course needs to pay for the subscription .... Its called sharing for a reason ! you need to have something to share back ! people get seriously pissed off and you face been kicked of a server if you have nothing in return...

This information has been around the forums for a long time, the chief who said this has moved on now, and VM do not do as S*Y do, in fact they don't get on, sky need vm for its programme content Uk Tv, Living, etc. Vm are deep in debt and cannot afford this change, they are concentrating on IP based veiwing so all the available funds are going into that. Any move into nag 3 will kill vm as people will move over to S** and vm will loose basic subs. Don't worry about anything major soon, big news is on the way with project canvas from the major broadcasters it will give them all a run for the money! and its free. VM are currently migrating all cable providers onto its network, except upc.
