I have added cables.xml and I've tried scanning provider and also single transponder which strangely scans everything. Not sure if any of those two are classed as brute force. I'm a newbie . Using a vu+ uno running latest vix. When I try scanning net id and frequency it fails to scan. It's not to much of a biggy as I will be using gigablue quad plus for main box just shortly so can use the sat tuner for correct regions

Yep done that as well. Not to worry I'll have a bit more of a play once I run another cable into a room where I can get some peace. Woman just don't realise that the digital receivers are for playing with not watching tv with.

The scan for virmin uk will work perfectly but remember virmin only show a handful of fta namely bbc 1,2, itv, channel 4 and 5 with a couple of other bbc news and parliament broadcasts

That's what I have found as well I thought that I would have got more free to air channels than the ones that I have seeing that it scanned 452 cable channels, and I am glad that I did not go for a more expensive receiver like the Giga Quad plus or Duo2, at least I still have my Solo2 with all the channels, well for the time being anyway
