They sent new cards out last feb/march, can't exactly remember, then they went n2 over the course of about a month six weeks in april, the adult channels went first, then sports, then movies a couple of weeks later.

The whole lot went yesterday in the space of a few hours so obviously moving much quicker this time. They didn't have to send any more new cards out.

It was this year, might have been march, can't remember exact dates. Ntl and chorus are merged into a company called upc, haven't got a clue who owns upc sorry.

so we cant be sure of vm changing then, im not going to worry untill new cards come through the post. i recon vm will concentrate on iptv cus they are upselling the fact that they have more ON DEMAND stuff than anyone else so wont have the funds/time to do both

just a thought, i have a mate who has a modified vm box(i think talback is taken out?)

he recieves all channels, would that be affected by a change?

I don't know anything about them sorry.

No point in worrying about it over there, they will wait and see if it gets hacked in Ireland i reckon before spending millions on it.

V media in UK has been on N2 for long time now.

im on a good few forums and have never seen any evidence that v media has been using n2,upc ireland changed over to n2 and have been using n3 recently so at the moment they are using n1,n2 and n3 could you check your stream info and tell us what it says?

I don't think so, all the boxes still work over there, if they were on n2 they would have to be using the new irish fixes out in the last few months.

Exactly why I pointed out when I looked at teh stream on my box it only had 1800 no 1801 or 1802 so only N1 in use. Coupled with my card in my subbed box being about 10 years old and not had a new viewing card which I'm sure I'd need if they had gone N2 in the UK.

Is it Virgin or just NTL who have changed to N3 in ireland?
and do they have to change the set top boxes or just the cards?

Would VM have to change the SUBBED boxes, ?
