satellite is the way forward. 5000+ channels with quality programmes, every football match from any country, every other movie, any sport happening live, XXX tv uncensored.

Come on guys, for few ?? you can get a 1M dish and set it up yourself. Stuck with cable one will be missing a lot

As far as i've heard satellite could be going to n3 anytime, so i'd do a lot of looking around before changing over.

Lose your memory sticks? Forget to backup? Why not get 2GB of free space online, and I get 250MB too

Must have clicked on wrong thread, sure this was GEN CABLE TV.
Anyway , might as well post while I'm here.
                  Simple fix for N3;
All N*L customers contact PROV helpline at 10 A.M. complaining of
intermittent problems with TEL. & B/B , usually after 6 p.m. every eveningsince Monday. These calls must be repeated every day until "problems"cease. If "engineers" are unable to attend loyal customer's homes after6 p.m. they might agree to fit SIG. STRENGHT meters in homes whichcustomers could monitor.
If no corrective action is taken Dept. of communications might instruct
PROV. to sw.on N2 stream until "unprecedented" number of faults can
                  be rectified.

Well this is the information i was given on it:

"Setting up a dish a quite easy but some prior reading is advised. A dish can be mounted on a pole in your garden as long as you have a clear line of sight south. If you where to go motorised then you will need a pole either t and k brackets and scaff pole of something similar. A motor is needed and a dish approx 1m. Motor goes on pole and dish onto motor arm. Motor needs to be as close to due south as possible then receiver needs to be set up and turned to 1 deg west, then hole motor and dish need twiking so that its lined up on bbc world on thor. When you have that and usals is set in your receiver it should follow the arc east or west and pick the sats up automatically. This is a brief guide and really more reading and questions need to be asked. Especially if your a newbie to satellite. Do not try and do so much is one go. You could also get someone to set up a dish for you but it will cost ?100.00 plus for fitting. Just remember as well the only real free package is digi tv on thor at the moment and that may go anytime to n3 just like the cable in ireland."

                    Definitely says n3 in there.

Must have not read that bit, but some talk was about "something that cant be discussed here"

That wasn't from here, was from somewhere else. As to what can't be discussed here, i assume it's card sharing.

n3 has been around on sat for quite a good time now it has not affted the linux based boxs but the technomates ect are just clearing fta.I have cable an old starview 1 and the wife loves it because it is simple like her.But if i give her the dreambox remote she starts sweating like beckham on a spelling test.Even though there are far more channels she wont use it.But when n3 comes to cable in the uk that is the only way apart from paying a sub thats why she has to learn.setting a dish up is not somthing i look forward to but its no that hard you dont even have to go on the roof mine is reachable of step ladders and i get ever sat i need.the rest of setting up a linux box can be a bit tricky but there are very good stickies out the on othere web site

A fix is is just a guarded present waiting to be opened.
                                The only question is when.
Now go and have a brew and stop worrying
                                Trust me.
