thanks for the links, but wanted to find someone using the image on this box and how it was, why would you choose a patched version of vix when openatv is just as good and supported by them.

is it recommended to use a usb stick for the epg other than the internal flash for these boxes....cheers

Me personally I stuck on Openpli 4 as I'm used to these sort of images that ive used in the past on my Dreambox.
Always best to mount a usb or hdd for epg as the internal memory will fill up.

Not sure you can flash with that though? Think I tried and nothing happened but would be a bonus if it did.

I was thinking more on the lines of using 1 for a wifi adapter and the other for a usb HD

Are the pictures quality ok? I have Amiko combo and the quality is nowhere near my old spiderbox hd, the SD on the spiderbox is much better than the HD on the Amiko...so if the quality is the same as the Amiko, then i will stick with my spiderbox and Vu+.
I am about to order one tonight but need that clarification please....thanks guys

Depends on what your tv is like I cant tell the difference between this and my Dreambox.
You pay your money and take your chance.

Totally agreed, box is now here and i can say well done to them. Quality on my samsung Plasma is brilliant, exactly like the Dreambox hd. I am very happy. By the way, there is another usb socket in front when you open the little thing on the right hand side.
