Just want to say thanks for the advice in general. Been out of the scene a while but I'm moving soon to somewhere that has cable. Picked up a zgemma H2 (Mainly as it was black, not white like the H1) - paid ?80 off ebay. H1's can be found for around ?60. Usual ebay rules apply - reputable UK seller with easy returns.

All setup (DVB-T2 for now) and gives me plenty of time to get used to this type of box (HUGE upgrade from my Skybox F5 a few years ago).

Can anyone recommend a good quality splitter? Cable is completely new to me, and I'm going to guess that the cheap components can really harm the connection?

you need to be looking at one that does the 5-1000mhz frequency range as this is where the cable frequency's reside the same as Freeview.

setanta is irish based and possibly not gettable on vm,doubt channel lists the same as sat as cable would have less but would have sports movies and lovely hd.

Can i just make everyone aware of the Forum Rules as this subject is now bordering on Card Sharing discussion something which is a no go area.

If anyone needs to ask questions like this i would say ask Google first
