Just seen this exact same card described on another forum as a ROM180, which are apparently the same cards used for Nagra 3.

If it is Rom 180 its definately N3 and we may be in luck as this Rom is used in Spain and hackers are working on a crack for it for the past two years.

That confirms it 100% VM are going to N3.

oh its over for now ,no shadow of a doubt about that , N3'S coming so lets face up to it .i think the last arguement about the new encryption will be when ?.
personally i think it will be a minimum of 6 month before they pull the plug on N1.these things dont happen overnight and with VM's track record it could take yrs not months , a nieghbour has just recieved his new sky card !! , , i make that 10 month since they launched it.

the next big question will be :-

CAN YOU CS ON A DM500c ? ethernet , router all that !.

lets face it ,,,if it wasnt for the sport i wouldnt be arsed one bit.

nad on a final note and the spanish and cracking N3 ? dont hold your breath,,,,some of the best crackers in the world are UK based.
as i've stated before ,this is the kind of money making challenge they have been waiting for ..

you crack the new encryption,
you then make a closed source box,
you are the only one doing so,
you sell them as the only hacked box available,
demand will be how high ?

vm are going down the road of on demand stuff, thats how they want to compete in the market. they are already in agreement with companies to make this possible. with vod, encryption is not needed. so why pay for encryption just for it to become obsolete???

now this caid 1841 is also for on demand stuff, go to your subbed box and order something then scan your dreambox to find the movie you have just ordered. on that channel you will find caid 1841

Rom 180 is read by CCCam so CS should be possible.

They lost the channels in Ireland in dribs and drabs, obviously premium ones going first.

Not sure of the time scale involved though

It will be massive m8 but the truth is out now its rom 180 N3 it will still take a while for vm to get from area to area mths ? but its no use asking for a fix for the boxes there wont be one .

How long did it take for UPC to roll out a system like this in Ireland? Granted, Ireland is smaller and UPC do have more money, so maybe the rumoured year of 2012 is near abouts true?

That?s just it though m area to area ?

There?s no way of knowing which area will be next etc,in Ireland they were using Nagra 1,2 and 3,as they changed encryption.

Point being you could get a card tomorrow and find you?re on Nagra 3 for Christmas.

Or you could get a card tomorrow and be on Nagra 1 until well in to next year.

It?s the Luck of the draw; my money would be on Leeds going first from what I have read on the forums.
