how do you access the card info?
Nagra 3 Really Is Here (smoking gun)

In that case I can tell you that there is no N3 stream running.
Streams that are running in the Leeds area have been discussed on this site before.
I don't think anyone has ever, anywhere, suggested that N3 was running in Leeds.Comment

Nagra 3 has deffo been cracked. goodfta have released an update for the viewsat recievers. So it can be done. Whether the UK hacking scene will be as quick who knows. But there is light at the end of the tunnel. It gives me a great excuse to get a huge dish on the side of the house Woopeee.....Comment

How are you logging the stream Tony?I refuse to answer that question on the grounds that I don't know the answer. - Douglas AdamsComment

I've just bought 10 dreamboxes which I have distributed around my extended family. I'm thinking of doing a card share once/if this happens - anyone know where to start with this kinda thing? Also how many people can I get using one card?

I can also see that there is 1841 running alongside 1800 on my system.Yes they have been discussed here already and some logs were posted, here is another :

I haven't seen anything that convinces me that it's N3 though; certainly not according to McMav's definition, anyway.
As I discussed elsewhere on here, when 1841 started it put an end to my using V1.7 on the SV4. (I now have a linux box.)Comment

How are you logging the stream? Are you just using the PID info from your new box? (EDIT cheers for the info).
1841 is Kuldelski and the card is ROM 180, as you seen from the ATR string on another thread. The only way of getting info is by people logging the stream, the CaID is new but I can guarantee it's in not N1 or N2, maybe a hybrid.
ROM 180 will tell you it is Nagra 3 similar to D+ in Spain. The core is atmel rather than ST on previous cards.
No customers as far as I know have received any new cards and as such these are trial results at an early stage. Where they come from I wouldn't hazard a guess.I refuse to answer that question on the grounds that I don't know the answer. - Douglas AdamsComment

Anyone (including V employees) can post a load of numbers up and say it's a card reading.
Like you say, no one's seen a card.
And I haven't spoken to one regular, full-sub-paying V customer who has a clue that there are new cards on the way. Not one.
Is there a way to link to the new card tutorial video from V's main homepage? If there is, they're certainly not making it easy. I haven't found it (not that I've tried all that hard).
Is that tutorial video showing on channels available to normal V subscribers? I certainly haven't seen it?
I'm not saying that it's not about to happen but I've certainly seen no evidence to convince me.
It wouldn't surprise me at ll if V have decided to throw ten grand at an attempt to ruin the Christmas market.Comment

The new CaID isnt there for no reason, the logs have come from trusted sources, so I do not doubt them, but that is my opinion and others may.
I said no "customers" have seen a card.
Yes you can get to the tutorial via the main page. Bottom right select installation information.
They do not throw money at an advertisement campaign and a bogus CaID believe me.I refuse to answer that question on the grounds that I don't know the answer. - Douglas AdamsComment
-
I doubt they'd see the money as thrown away, given the mileage they've got from it.
The CaID could possibly be there for any number of testing purposes. A minimal cost in the grand scheme of things, I'm sure.
Even if you know and trust the source who has read the card, where did the card come from? Who leaked it?
That's me finished anyway. I'm starting to spend as much time on this as the rumour mongers and the gullible. I'm starting to bore myself.Comment

Now you see where it gets boring without definitive answers. Rumour mongers and gullible as you call them are part and parcel of forum life.
