I believe sky own NDS Encryption it is there own security of which they have developed over the years

sky was the one putting pressure onto virgin to secure the encryption and take out all these illegal boxs

they said to Irish side that if they did not make the upgrade by a certain date they would cut off sky sports and movie's channels

so virgin pushed forward and started all upgrades

sky have no intention of hacking this security

the only chance you have of n3 hacked will be by Nagra Vision encryption themselves many years from now when they wish to sell another new security such as N4 for instance

feel free to correct me if i got any of that wrong

Bit of a noob here, but am I right in thinking that N3 has to be hacked before a hardware cam can exist that can read a genuine properly subscribed VM viewing card for use with a PC tv tuner?

don't bother as no cam can read a VM card at the moment..

my take on it is :-
N3 / NDS has not been cracked and as far as i can see never will be.
if it has been cracked then why hasnt the satscene got it ?.
the only way round it will be CS.
at the mo there's no cam for Cable CS (as opsmonkey pointed out ).
and i agree lets close this thread as its boring the waps off me !!!.

I concur with opsmonkey. Bored to tears with when will n3 be hacked. It wont be.

n2 was a gift, as was the old conax. Few hacks, rivals giving gifts.

                    Clear.

from what I have read on the Sat scene, newcs 1.13 can be used with nagra 3 cards, but not sure if they will work with the version VM are using.

however I wont go into details on how some people have managed to share N3 using a combinations of softcams.

Yes you can share a n3 card but not straight forward and certainly not for VM/receiver. Also what would you share as it would be on a cable tuner as well .

there is a sat site and some guy claims he is nearly ready with c/s on cable.
One guy said it was bollx and everyone jumped on his back saying if 'username' claims he can do it then he's not lying.

                          i read this last night

if people are stupid enough to use c/s on a closed network like VM then they deserve all the jail time they will get..

I dont know if you would get jail time, i mean it would be a civil case wouldnt it? im sure youd be up the creek with a turd for a paddle regardless. However its a good point, i mean what laws are you really breaking, im not sure any of them would wnd up with a criminal case.

Something to look into i suppose.
                                Cheers.
