    Nagra 3: How was Nagra 1 & 2 cracked?

Everyone's biting their nails! When's it going to happen? Will my boxes work? Does anyone know about Nagra 1 & 2? How were these cracked? How long did it take? Can we apply the same duration to Nagra 3?

N1 & 2 where broken by a group of very clever people, who where allegedly helped by another corporate organisation which deals in encryption and is one of the most secure technologies around.

Anyway, as you may or not be aware there are a lot encryption systems used by providers and most of them are very secure, and are not broken, and now N3 is one of the most secure around.

The race started about fourteen years ago when the old jeroid boxes were being chipped. Their still running (along with many more) and the finishing post is not in sight yet.

I'll start worrying when the screen is blank for more than two days.

always remember , cable is a small drop in the ocean when it comes to beating encryptions.
N3 will end cable with the blink of an eye.you dont honestly think that someone in the satworld has cracked it and said ;-

" no hang on !lets not release it just yet !! lets wait till virgin UK to switch over !!".

like a botanist would name a newly found flower i will claim this baby and call it ;-

A solution could be years away. N3 wont be easily cracked.

It won't be hacked (soon) we will have to move onto the next method. Correct me if im wrong but i think cs will work.

CS will work but a leak is all there is needed same as n2.
Seems all the great Hackers are gone money talks If you know what I mean N3 is 100 plus times harder to get into due to it's complexity (I'm Guessing)
But man made IT Man can "cough cough cough"

I've read posts on this and other sites that say Nag 3 has already been hacked , proof positive will be when it's introduced .
There are some pretty clever people on this forum , as iv'e
found from the help they've given myself and many others over the years .
It sounds like they'll be becoming increasingly popular shortly , if all the recent talk is true ! .

cable users dont understand that N3 has been in use throughout europe for over 3years on some really good foreign packages and the hackers still havent hacked it yet.

think of nag 1 havin 4 bubbles ( 1050 combinations ) in your box and n2 havin 10 (100050 combinations) then n3 having a thousand (1 million combinations ) all changing day by day

im sure you can dedicate a ps3 with 8 logical processors running at 3.2ghz each to process 1 million combinations and match them in no time!
thats will do 2 things boost the sales of ps3s and keep your wife happy. now all we need is a linux programmer who has already been experimenting with n3
