    Virgin media error code 1007

    Hi guys. Im probably asking a really obvious question but im a complete idiot with technology! We've had the starview 4 in for a few months but have just put our Virgin box back in - "explorer 2000 DVB" its only got a few channels on it now and a message saying "your smartcard may not be inserted properly - please call quoting error code 1007" is displayed when we try to change channels.
    Can anyone enlighten me as to whether I should call them or is this related to the fact we have been using starview 4?

    hi - i have spoken to the call centre in india 3 times and have managed to get the box working although the dhcp status did say off and now it says return path on.Can anyone let me know if this means they will be able to tell when I have plugged staview 4 back in? if there is 2 way traffic can they tell? thanks in advance

      Your Starview cannot talk back, so they cant tell if you have that plugged in or not.
