only other card i have in the house except for NDS cards is an old NTL card which has nagid JA-01

if some one could confirm nagid on leeds cards we can put this thread to bed , i only said yes to them sending this box out was so i could check the card they issued

It doesn't matter whats written on the card its the difference in the size of chip that gives it away. If your still unsure you can always run it in Nagra edit it will tell you whether it is a Rom 11 or a Rom 180.

i can confirm that the card in pic is a rom 11 same as the one in my sammy box

The card I got in Leeds says nagra id vg-04 on it. Also the chip is a different shape than your new one. On the front my new one just says "your tv smart card" and "pick me up,slot me in,watch me go" With a bit of luck you may be safe for now.

Dish network cards use the same type of chip used in Europe and Ireland N3 cards although different roms the chip type is st and are similar. The Rom 11 also resemlbles this chip type.

Rom 180 has an Atmel chip it differs from the above named Nagra cards. I will see if I can get a hold of a pic of D+ Rom 180 this is the same chip being used on VM cards.

The chip on my old ntl card is the same as your photo. To complicate matters old card also says nagra id na-04 on it. Maybe the 04 refers to Leeds area.

so let me get this right if dish network and the U.S have nag3 running on the old chips then what where experiencing is a faster form of n3 than the U.S

the increased rom speed on the virgin chips is like what sky itallia have done recently with there NDS card when they increased rom speed a few months ago
where it checks card every 7 secs adv

and dish network have same security encryption wise but just not at the same rom speed , so where new virgin card will check every 7 seconds dish network card checks every 15 to 20 seconds

this i take is a counter measure to make card sharing harder and more unstable for the end user

correct me on that if any of its wrong just making sure i understand it all

you cant learn without making mistakes
