    Channels missing after a rescan?

    Evening all.

I'm a member of satkings and would normally ask this here as I have an ITGate TGM 220 but as they are down you lot seemed reasonable enough!

When I got up this morning none of the tv channels were working. No problem I thought, I'll just do a rescan and low and behold the channels seemed to re-appear although this time they were duplicated.

When I got in from work I thought I'd edit my bouquets etc and replace the old non working channels with the new ones. However I've just noticed that some of the channels haven't duplicated. Nickelodeon being the main one as that's my daughters favourite channel. The old one gives me a "Service Could Not Be Found Issue" Any ideas on how to fix?

Reading through the forums I know that Nagra3 is on the way. I live just up the road from Shepards Bush (Ladbroke Grove to be precise) so I wondered if anyone knew what was happening? Is it the dreaded roll out? Am I actually going to have to give Murdoch my money?

    Thanks in advance people.

Hi turn the ITgate off from the back of the box then press the up button on the front of the box while keeping your finger pressed on the front up button switch the box back on from the back, you will then see a menue pick factory reset , do a factory reset, after thart do a scan if channels are still missing do a brute force scan and it should all be O.K. all the best Roy.

I did a factory reset of the box last night, admittedly from the advanced setup menu on the Itgate itself and then used bruteforce to scan and the channels were still missing.

I'll try doing the reset the way you suggested when I get in tonight.

Evening. Just did the factory reset described to me earlier and Nickelodeon is back after a scan.

However I now go to a FTA channel and get everything as normal. When I go to a non FTA channel though I'm not getting anything. Just a black screen. I've tried swapping between hypercam and evocam on various channels and leaving them for a few mins but nothings come back so far....

                Nagra3?

                    this
"Service Could Not Be Found Issue"
is an error you recieve when you have a signal problem, please check your connections.
Now, have you checked to see if your area is in the grasp of Nagra3?
If not, you might have to get hypercam working again, it's a bit fiddly, it was under development until n3 starting rolling soo.

first, go to an encrypted channel, press the blue button (if i remember correctly) select hypercam and save, and wait a few minutes, change channel and wait again, and once again return to the first channel.
it should take no more than 5 minutes, if nothing happens try again.
but first things first, check your connections, and make sure vm are not doing work in your area which might be causing an issue too

On the remote control press and hold the epg button while on a premium channle, scroll to the second page and what is the stream info.

                      1800 - pre N3
                      1841 - N3

If you have 1841 only you have gone to N3 if you have both stream info go through the motions again, hard factory reset, scan using brute force on a direct feed, and see if that brings them in.

Just checked Animal Planet and Sky Sports 1 and they both have 1800h and 1841h....

I think the service could not be found issue which I had orginally was due to Virgin changing the frequencies of the channels. All the channels appear to be there and 'working' I just dont get an image on the encrypted channels.

Hypercam never worked for me here, I always had to use evocam. I have however tried what you suggested and that didn't work. I'll give it one more go before trying another hard factory reset and bruteforce scan.

Thanks to you all for your help by the way!
