i would do a lot of reading about these boxes now with the latest goings on,and who will say now you will have a working box if the other end is not connected,vigin or sky sub may be a lot safer now.

have to agree with the comment on engineers - they're only called engineers because they drive a van with tools in. All of them without exception are nuggets who plug boxes in, change some menu settings and nowt much else. If anything major happens, they come, check connections then leave saying "someone wil be back later" or something. i hate to stereotype - but they're all goons.

As has been said so many times, N3 has been around for a number of years, across the world in many BIGGER markets than VM's. Just because VM rolls it out, the 'clever guys' ain't going to think 'Blimey, we better make sure all the brits get their free telly back' and suddenly come up with a all-inclusive hack. N1 wasn't hacked, it was a back door that was exploited. Even if there was ANY sort of movement, it probably wouldn't be released publicly for a long time.

whats going to happen in mid-july? if that a date the hackers have choosen to release this info?

When I was a apprentice we got a very low wage for a 4 year period, the virgin fitters should be happy that they have a job and not use the low wage trump card, if they wanted to be on same money as a spark, plumber etc listen more at school or get to college and educate yourself, if my work was sloppy when I was training then 3 strikes and I was out.They are only cowboys because the general public let them, ~~~~ them if you are not happy with any part of the installation tell them to correct it or don't sign and they will not get paid lets see how long it is before they change their ways...chuck

Would you drive @ 130 with cheap remould tyres on, and expect them to stop you as quick as good quality low Profiles ??? Nothing to do with the brakes..I never mentioned brakes...You did. Thats the comparison, you pay your money and you take your chance with everything you buy...Including services from multi billion ?? empires like vermin media. I ended up reinstalling all the work they did, as i was not happy with the installation. I think the main problem here is that so many people are very bitter towards vermin media because their boxes have gone off....You should of got rid of it months ago ( just like i did ) and made a few quid out of it before you had a expensive doorstop

Oi just to put my 2p's worth in I used to be an "engineer" for Telepest and I was one of the better ones
Well let?s put it this why I went to the training course but gained most of my knowledge from Digital Worldz and then here once Devilfish made Kaos.
But I must agree 99% of them are thick as they come and I mean it would be day after day I would have to go around mopping up some one else?s mess just because they had no idea as to what the hell it was they were doing. As for me I done my time there and moved on to bigger and better things and I?m still doing it those things now. But when I sit back and switch on my dbox I never feel sorry for the Vermin b4stards because I just think of all the times they had me out there in the pissing rain pulling cables for some prat to have broadband at ?4.99 a month. Sod the lot of them.
