It MAY be hacked, but it wont be hacked any time soon, so in the mean time sit tight and if you really want a simple receiver, get a KV A780. Otherwise, get a DM 500S and a private server

Hmm, I don't know how about you guys, but we (on Balcan) already had some N3 keys for e.g. Digi TV which has now moved from N2 to N3...

just seen this,, they are not N3 keys! not all the channels for all the regions have gone to N3 yet. Thats why not all the channels work anymore!

Yes, the channels which moved from N2 to N3 were unlocked for 3-4 days with new type of codes and only on 2-3 receivers. Of course, not all channels moved and they currently work on N2 normally. But I said for channels on N3.

i would say it will be open some day with the help of mr murdoch,s cronies as like the old saca days when he helped out there also, he for 1 would love to see n3 open so he can rule with his videoguard

This is the big Differance between the satellite section & the Cable one on Digital-Kaos. We as satellite users have been aware of all of these new Encryption upgrades and newer versions been introduced over the years, but most Cable users never look into the satellite section nor do I look into the cable section very much.

For a true understand on N3 180 million viewers across Americia on Cable & satellite were switched to N3 last year, now if it was ever to be hacked It will come from there.

But its the reverse the Americians are looking over to us for a hack or at least news on possable openings.

Its just not going to happen Even if one Provider was hacked in the morning (Lets say NTL) by the afternoon NTL can change the ROM making the hacker having to start all over again, Each and every provider using N3 has a different ROM making a world wide hack impossible.

Nothing of note has been hacked for years (There are loads of Different encryption used across the world on both Cable & Satellite) proving modern technology and mathematical science has become to advanced to be simply hacked by teams or a guy in a bedroom.

Remember N2 was not hacked it was given to us by Rupert Murdoch before some responds to the old N2 encryption.

This is simply not true. Css, HDCP and AACS, Fairplay etc. There has been lots of things hacked the last 10 years.

Ok, so if your payed for box goes to N3 or anyother name of a motor way system, you ring them up, after 20 mins speaking to somebody in India, or some bastard in Scotland, either way strugling to make out what they are on about, you get a new card sent out.


Your card arrives, tune in, plug in, cop out.
So one would assume the hard ware is good enough, to decode this 20,000,0000,00000,00000000,000000000000 signal changes every
1/500000000000000000 of a split millisecond, so why can't somebody
'make' a 'card' connected to a computer to do this?

same channels with n3 are open and more arew opening from time to time. There are alot of new boxes on the market at the mow. But i didn't think it has been hacked. I think they are paying for the keys so the boxes will sale.
