Channel 808

Just been flicking through the channels and found a warning message from VM about the 6th Dec. Anyone seen this or know what it is referring to?

I too have found this about 6/12/08 at 10pm. Don't know what it is or whether VM have any access to the box. I am hoping someone on this forum may know something?

a friend has seen it,saying the box was counterfit they were viewing on.is the shit about to hit fan,they have tried there best to knock boxes this time

I don't know... and do hope they've not come up with sommat. I've only had my DV XL box for about 7 weeks and am only just learning about it.

ignore the message its there to scare you and has been on your box for the last few months. its transmitted on a spare transponder that these boxes pick up.

VM set the channel numbers and channels up on the genuine boxes. If you have a dreambox etc then you do a scan and find all the channels. This scare channel will be found and you will see it. On genuine VM boxes they don't add it to the channel list so you wont see it on a real box.

I hope that explains this little scare tactic away.

Thanks. I was all set to panic. I've only had mine for 24 hours and was flicking through wen i came across it. It doesn't mention anything about the 6th December though.
