Come back on and withdraw those angry remarks and save them till we actually do go down the plug hole.

Consider my plight , I was being told the KV had gone forever, and my box was a door stop.
So I used it to stop the door.
Now it is up and reconnected again I havent got a doorstop.

Can I sue the KV team for a new doorstop ??

I wouldnt call KV and SV a hobby..lets face it these are the plug and play...no technical knowledge or effort required boxes for people want free tv.

Theres nothing hobby about it.... It's no different than paying a trader 150 quid for a modded pace/samsung box with a funcard or MOSC in the Nagra 1 days...Your totally in the hands of the trader if anything goes wrong...

The hobby aspect, was learning how to program your own cards, modify your own box from scratch, cutting talkback, finding BK, IRD etc etc.. So your free from getting ripped off by traders...OK admittedly it ended up that only very few people actually understood how to create and release the fixes Boxster, MrSporty, campag, TwoBeerCans more recently Sunrise etc...

I agree certainly isnt a hobby nowadays especially if your only leeching be it cable or sat, its more like a cheaper fix for tv junkies.

Fair enough I withdraw hobby, my interest is new technologies across a wide range of fields , getting something up and running is my thing, TV is something I rarely look at.

When the next quirk comes out I will try that I suppose.
            Sad really............

Your better of having a play with linux satellite STB's much intresting and quirky to play with, throw in a motorised dish and you've got loads of different providers, encryptions channels to mess around with.

Or if you fancy it..read up on all the nagra3, cable CS side of things, extracting box keys, RSA keys and pairing with a non original STB, loads of quirks and intresting stuff...Personally a lot of the stuff is over my head, I dont have the time to dedicate to learn it all either...

Personally I would spend more time looking at other alternates to CS. But then again that's a hobby to which I can spend some time on.

CS although functional to a point is a workaround for free TV.
