i know when they laid cables to our house they put the cable into a plasic green pipe so it couldnt get damaged if yours is the same your going to have to break into this pipe to connet new cable

this is in no piping ,probably been there 20 odd years,thats why
i can understand them cutting thro,
its no big problem now can sort it myself,thanks everyone for advise ,end of errand

not looked at post 28 yet? it will be the same if you were putting ends on sat or cable coaxial.
