tried all networks after factory reset the a780 will find TP's but wont list program channels after a full scan, just returns to easy installation screen

I'm in Oxford area and have been having exactly the same problem:

No Network ID when scanning

FYI, I've tried the FTA and an older firmware and tried all providers but no joy. There is another area fault logged on 06 Sep which is due to be resolved on 10 Sep. Fingers crossed this resolves the issue as my Signal Quality is always 0% (the VM box works fine though).

Will report back here too if I find a solution although I'm not holding my breath as I've been battling with this for a couple of weeks now!

I have downloaded the loader file. unzipped it with winrar but for the life of me I cannot get it to load (keeps asking for a file name) click on file but no name found....Help please

as this is an old file it needs a s/w update online update done before you scan for channels.

similar problem

Almost same problem, well same s/w 24/04/11. pv3.8.00.

Manage to scan and find all channels but cant watch them. " scrambeld" message. Box wont start s/w update via remote.

Any advice???

I have anther box s/w 26/04/12 works perfect.

Please advise a lost boy on how else to update this s/w

new 11112012 in downloads above as the online update is off line.
your firmware is old and was you missed them updates leaving box out of the loop,so flash box with null modem cable and factory reset/rescan.
